Lucile McSwain Randall, 99, of White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain, formerly of Linden Street, Grover, N.C., passed away Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.

Born in Cherokee County, Mrs. Randall was the widow of Elmer Clyde Randall and daughter of the late George Pickney and Ida Ann Mullinax McSwain. Mrs. Randall worked in the cafeteria at Grover High School and was a member of First Baptist Church of Grover, where she served in the WMU.

Mrs. Randall is survived by a sister, Verona McSwain Hardin, of Blacksburg and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Randall was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Moore McSwain, and two sisters, Sarah Alma McSwain Carroll and Marguerite McSwain Johnson.

The family will receive friends today from 6:30-8 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary in Blacksburg.

Services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Grover with the Revs. Cecil Johnson and Paul Sorrells officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ansel Edgar Hardin III, Everett Whitesides, Chris Stephenson, Joey Dean Clinton, Jimmy Wright and Keith McSwain.

The family will be at home of Verona Hardin, 207 S.York St., Blacksburg.
