Miss Smith, CPL Mace wed June 6 in Shelby

MRS. JASON TODD MACE (Kristen Michelle Smith) MRS. JASON TODD MACE (Kristen Michelle Smith) Kristen Michelle Smith of Blacksburg and CPL Jason Todd Mace of Shelby, N.C., were married on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Christ The King Church in Shelby. The Rev. Vernon L. Moore conducted the 4 p.m. double ring ceremony. A reception, given by family and friends, followed at the church

Lynn Sisk provided music on the harp.

Escorted and given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Katie Earls of Blacksburg as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kameron Dugat, Sarah Walker, Christina Mace, all of Blacksburg, Erica Hollifeld of Shelby, Kelsey Smith of Huntersville, N.C., and Brittany Medley of Gaffney.

Abigail Mace of Blacksburg served as flower girl and Collin Jace Smalley of Gaffney was the ring bearer.

The groom was attended by Johnny Mace Jr. of Blacksburg as best man. Groomsmen were Joshua Smith of Blacksburg, William Browning, Douglas Lee Walker Jr. and Darren Williams, all of Gaffney.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas Dwayne and Beverly Smith of Blacksburg. Her grandparents are Vaud and Agnes Smalley of Gaffney, Louise Smith of Blacksburg and the late John Smith. A 2006 graduate of Blacksburg High School, she is a senior at Limestone College.

The groom is the son of Darrell and Brenda White of Shelby and grandson of Beatrice Walker of Gaffney and the late Ken Walker. He is serving in the United States Army.

CPL and Mrs. Mace are making their home in Ft. Benning, Ga.
