Margaret Boyette
Margaret Edna Sparks Boyette, 84, of 823 Green River Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at her residence.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Luther Edward Boyette Sr. and daughter of the late Joseph Sparks and Henrietta Banks Sparks. Mrs. Boyette was retired from textiles and a lifelong member of East Gaffney Baptist Church, where she was a faithful Sunday School member.
She is survived by a son, Luther Edward (J.R.) Boyette Jr. and wife, Dana, of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Barbara Padgett and husband, Jim, of Gaffney and Cindy Flores and husband, Vince, of Fountain Inn; a brother, Hoyt Sparks of Gaffney; a sister, Gladys Mullinax of Baltimore, Md.; 11 grandchildren, Tammy Tolbert, Rev. Brian Padgett, Kim Humphries, Trey Boyette, Josh Campbell, Nikki Foltz, Heather Mullinax, Shane Wilburn, Kayla Flores, Mark Flores and Jason Flores; 10 great-grandchildren; and one greatgreat grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Boyette was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Parker; two brothers, Cletus Sparks and Otis Sparks; four sisters, Blanch Levi, Vernie Wilburn, Charcie Crocker and Nellie Humphries.
Services will be held Monday, Aug. 17, at 2 p.m. at East Gaffney Baptist Church with Revs. Ron Jackson and Brian Padgett officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held Sunday, Aug. 16, from 6- 8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.
