POLE CAR — The Gaffney Police Department determined a single-vehicle crash on Holmes and Fort Street on Monday morning was the result of a medical problem. Kathy Turner, 42, of Fort Street, was turning left onto Fort Street from Holmes Street when she blacked out behind the wheel, according to a police report. Her car crashed into a utility pole on the side of Fort Street, bringing down cable and telephone lines. Police estimated Turner's car, a 2008 Dodge, sustained about $3,500 in damage.Turner was transported for medical treatment following the wreck. Her car was towed from the scene.
