There's never a dull moment at Brookview
CELEBRATING THE 4th WITH A BOOM - Brookview residents were treated to a fireworks celebration Saturday, July 4, that rivaled any other in the area. Family and friends from the community joined the residents for the festivities. Howard Hughey Jr., maintenance director, and Tommy Howell, assistant director of maintenance, were in charge of the display.    SAFARI TIME- Residents took an African safari on Monday, July 27. Giraffes, rhinos, elephants, tropical birds, lions, monkeys and zebras were just a few of the wild animals on hand for the residents to see.  BROOKVIEW ON PARADE - Brookview residents had a special thrill on Saturday, July 18, by riding in the S.C. Peach Festival Parade. The residents had fun waving to family and friends who lined the sidewalks. Riding in the facility's van were Clara Vinesett, Valerie Cobb, Sarah Boyd, Emma Steen, Ed Fowler, Jeanette Echols, John Miller and Lois Swink. PICNIC AT THE PARK- Residents journeyed to Cleveland Park in Spartanburg on Tuesday, Aug. 4, for a picnic and fun activities. Homemade chicken salad and pimento cheese sandwiches were enjoyed for lunch along with chips, drinks and cookies. The therapy staff went along on the excursion and the residents enjoyed games that promoted range of motion. |
