The Gaffney Police Department is on the lookout for a shoplifter with clean teeth.

According to a police report, a man and woman entered the Walmart on West Floyd Baker Boulevard on Aug. 20 and were seen placing Crest-brand teeth whitening strips into the woman's purse.

A security alarm sounded when the duo left the store and they fled in a white Pontiac. The license plate number of the vehicle and a video of the incident were turned over to police.

The Gaffney Police Department reported the attempted break-in of a West Birnie Street garage.

According to a police report, someone tried to pry open the rolling garage door at Chapman's Used Tires/Repair between 6:30 p.m. Aug. 19 and 8:45 a.m. Aug. 20.

Damage is estimated at $300.

Prime Outlets — Gaffney reported about $100 in vandalism damage

Aug. 20. According to the Gaffney Police Department, someone targeted the westerly door of the mall's food court, damaging a lock tumbler and strike plate.

More than $3,000 in property was reported stolen Aug. 19 following the burglary of a Raintree Lane home.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, someone forced entry to the home in the 100 block between 5 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. through a kitchen window.

The thief or thieves took a 40-inch Samsung television, $1,500 in clothing, $7,000 in jewelry and caused about $200 in damage.
