Nathaniel Valentine, 47, of 266 Goldmine Springs Road, Apartment D-20 in Gaffney passed Sunday morning, Aug. 23, 2009, at his residence.

The son of Arthur Valentine and the late Mrs. Sarah Valentine, he was born on April 30, 1962, in Cherokee County.

Valentine was a graduate of Gaffney High School and was last employed at A.D.S. Company of Gaffney.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his daughter Modesty Latrice Allen of Blacksburg; two brothers, Thomas Valentine and Leon Valentine, both of Gaffney; three sisters, Floral Watkins and Rosetta Lipscomb, both of Gaffney, and Ailene Wilkins of Columbia; five uncles; seven aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family is at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Fannie Bell Valentine at 303 Annette Street in Gaffney.
