Miss Flythe, Mr. Kite exchange vows July 25
MR. AND MRS. DUSTIN MICHAEL KITE Jenna Kaye Flythe and Dustin Michael Kite, both of Gaffney, were married Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 3 p.m. at Walker Hall in Spartanburg. The Rev. Sidney Norton performed the ceremony.
Mrs. Kite is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Dwayne Proctor of Gaffney and Ernest P. Flythe of Prosperity. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Oliver Burgess, who lived in Gaffney, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frank Flythe, who lived in Graham, N.C. She is a 2007 graduate of the University of South Carolina Upstate with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Mr. Kite is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Michael Kite of Gaffney and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Little of Mauldin and the late Mr. and Mrs. Rufus V. Kite and Mr. Dwayne Humphries of Gaffney. He is a 2008 graduate of Limestone College with a Bachelor of Science degree.
The bride's sisters, Traci Flythe Tyson of Harrisburg, N.C., and Tina Flythe of Burlington, N.C., served as matron of honor and maid of honor, respectively. Bridesmaids were Amanda Morris, cousin of the bride, and Kaley Kite, sister of the groom, both of Gaffney. Junior bridesmaids were Caroline Tyson of Harrisburg, N.C., and Marla Zimmerman of Burlington, N.C., nieces of the bride, and Gia Garner, cousin of the groom, of Gaffney.
R. Michael Kite, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Gibson, Richard Harrison and Todd Flythe, brother of the bride, all of Gaffney.
Jinger Bradburn was flower girl and Luke Morris, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
Music was provided by Joyce Fankhouser, harpist, and Hae Jin Kim, violinist.
Program attendants were Kinsley and Wes Vassey of Union. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Morris of Gaffney attended the wedding guest register.
A reception immediately followed the ceremony at Walker Hall.
After their honeymoon, the couple will make their home in Gaffney.
