A 19-year-old city man was charged Sept. 1 with discharging a firearm within city limits.

According to a warrant served by the Gaffney Police Department, Timothy Obrian Littlejohn, of Beech Street, did intentionally discharge a firearm while in the 400 block of Walnut Street on Aug. 30.

The warrant was served Sept. 1.

Police did not immediately file an incident report to explain the circumstances of what happened Aug. 30.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Sept. 1 incident during which a shot was fired outside a Wilderness Trail, Blacksburg, home.

According to a police report, three victims claimed a neighbor fired a shot from a handgun in their general direction during an argument that occurred at about 1:15 p.m.

A sheriff's deputy reported that he took control of a .22-caliber handgun for safekeeping during the investigation.

No charges had been reported as of Sept. 3.
