Blacksburg ARP Church honors Rowes for 20 years of service

Dr. David L. Rowe, pastor, and his wife, Amanda, were recognized and honored on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, for 20 years of ministry to Blacksburg Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.

The Rowes' ministry began Aug. 20, 1989, and they continue to serve the church in this capacity.

Dr. and Mrs. Rowe were presented a framed certificate, a monetary gift and an extra week of paid vacation from the church members. John Major, chairman of the church's Elders, presented the gifts and commented on the effective ministry of the couple over the years.

A fifth Sunday meal was prepared in honor of the Rowes after the morning worship service.
