Ken Callahan
Kenneth Wayne Callahan, 55, of 107 Indian Hill St., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at his home.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of Delores Smalley Callahan of Gaffney and the late Richard Callahan. He was formerly employed by Sanders Bros. and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Callahan was a member of the Elks Lodge.
Surviving in addition to his mother are four brothers, Michael Callahan and wife, Angela, of Crowley, La., Dave Callahan and wife, Shirley, of Thailand, Rick Callahan of Tabor City, N.C., and Robert Callahan and wife, Kim, of Gaffney; a sister, Renee Hyatt and husband, Claude, of Gaffney; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Callahan.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 10, from 2:30-4 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will immediately follow at 4 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Peterson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, SC 29342; or to Children's Wish Foundation International, Inc., 8615 Roswell Road, Atlanta, GA 30350-7526.
The family is at the home of Robert and Kim Callahan, 186 Roy's Farm Road.
