Ruby Moorehead
Gaffney native
Ruby Moorehead, 84, of 1506 W. Fayette St., Baltimore, Md., died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, in Bon Secours Hospital, Baltimore. Widow of Sam Davidson and J.C. Moorehead, she was born in Gaffney, a daughter of the late Don and Emma Adams Ratchford. She was a member and Mother of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Mrs. Moorehead is survived by a sister, Oveda Dawson (James Tillery) of the home; two grandsons, Barnett Ratchford of Gaffney and Harry Ratchford Jr. (Deneane) of Los Angeles, Calif.; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three goddaughters, Judy Hare, Claudia Johnson and Ann Littlejohn; and nieces, nephews, cousins. Services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Freddy Davidson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in in the church Tuesday at noon. Arrangements by The Gilmore Mortuary. |
