William Arnold Batchlor, 52, of Homestead, Fla., passed away at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Frances Batchler Chambers and stepson of the late John Chambers. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and worked in the construction business. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by three brothers, Ronnie Batchler and wife, Debbie, of Blacksburg, Terry Chambers and wife, Tammy, of Gaffney and Roger Chambers of Gaffney; three sisters, Brenda Kay Pennington and husband, Danny, of Gaffney, Cindy Zbrzezny and husband, Jerry, of Spartanburg and Gail Petty of Gaffney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Morris.
