Gaffney's Corry commits to Wofford
Gaffney High senior Josh Corry has verbally committed to play at Wofford next season. Gaffney High's Josh Corry will be staying close to home - and getting a good education.
The rising senior and the Class 4A state player of the year has verbally committed to Wofford after a visit this past weekend.
Corry also received offers from UNC-Greensboro, Elon, Gardner-Webb, North Florida and Jacksonville.
Corry, a three-year starter for the Indians, averaged 21.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and nearly two assists a game last season.
He made 47 percent of his shots from the field and an amazing 39 percent of his 3- pointers.
He has already qualified academically.
Gaffney High coach Mark Huff has said what sets Corry apart is his work ethic.
"Josh has improved for us each year that he's been on the varsity," Huff said. "I expect even more improvement this year. He's a hard worker and I expect him to be great at Wofford."
