Retired from Westinghouse

CLOVER - Harry Ervin Pursley, 83, of 502 Memorial Drive, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.

Mr. Pursley was born Dec. 8, 1925, in Clover to

the late Ervin

Gadberry and

Sammie Anderson Pursley. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving on the USS LST547 and LST 900. Mr. Pursley was retired from Westinghouse in Charlotte, N.C.

Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Grace Ballard Pursley of the home; daughter and sonin law, Becky and Barry Brown of Gaffney; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Susan Pursley of York; and grandchildren, Jennifer Pursley Grant of Moore, Natalie Harriet Brown of Spartanburg and Kyle Pursley of York.

Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. at Clover A.R.P. Church with the Rev. Evan English officiating. Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 6-8 p.m. at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home.
