Ray Vanderburg
Father of Gaffney resident
CAMPOBELLO - Joseph Ray Vanderburg, 66, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Vanderburg was the son of the late Joe Ray and Viola Riggs Vanderburg Sr. and husband of Maxine Vanderburg. Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Mark Vanderburg and wife, Karen, of Gaffney, Charles Vanderburg and wife, Torri, of Glen Springs, Kevin Wood and wife, Rachelle, of Lyman and Arthur Wood of Wellford; seven grandchildren, Star, Justin, Heather, Jacob, Hannah, Isaiah and Tristan; a great-granddaughter, Hailey; a brother, Donald Vanderburg and wife, Robyn of Monroe; and a sister, Lynette Vanderburg of Tarboro, N.C. Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m. at Stribling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. The family is at the home.
