Habitat for Humanity of Cherokee County will host its Third Annual Car Show and Motorcycle Ride on Saturday, Sept. 26.

“We would like not only motorcyclists to enjoy this event but also antique car owners and members of the community,” said attorney Gregory Patterson, board chairman.

Registration for the car show is noon at the Cherokee County Shrine Club. The event will begin at 1 p.m. There is no cost to enter an antique car. For more information regarding the car show please call Christa Smith at 864-488-1444.

Families are welcome to come to the Cherokee Shrine Club and bring their children for the car show, food, ice cream, and prizes.

HFHCC’s homes are currently located on Sarratt Street. HFHCC has built 21 homes in Cherokee County and is in the process of completing four more.

Habitat for Humanity is currently developing in its newest subdivision “Hope Acres” in Gaffney. Last year, HFHCC built five homes in Cherokee County for deserving families in Gaffney and Blacksburg.

Habitat for Humanity of Cherokee County is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry that works in partnership with all people in need to build decent, affordable housing. The houses are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged. Selected homeowners pay for their own home.
