‘We Are the One’ opens library’s fall Music Sandwiched-In season
'We Are the One,' composed of (l-r) James Posey II, Kelly Manning, Vincent Erwin Hambright and Michael Logan, will present a concert of soul standards from the 60s and 70s at the Cherokee County Public Library in Gaffney on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
The talented group’s show will feature soul standards from the 60s and 70s.
James O. Posey III, Kelly Manning, Vincent Erwin Hambright Jr. and Michael Logan have been playing together for a number of years and while the men are into a variety of music, their church ministry is one of their top priorities.
Posey, the group’s founder, has always included music in his life with gospel being his main focus. He is also a big believer in people getting involved in their communities to try and make a difference, particularly when it concerns children.
Manning, currently the Assistant Director of Public Works for the City of Gaffney, has been playing the drums since he was three years old. He is a drummer at Mount Sinai Baptist Church and a member of Mikes Creek Baptist Church.
Logan, starting at the age of six, played the drums and the piano. He has played piano in stage plays, live recordings and with local bands in the area.
Hambright is a drummer at heart, and also loves to play keyboards. He is currently Minister of Music at Light Oak Baptist Church in Shelby.
