Herbert Wayne (Rock) Peeler, 61, of Wilkinsville Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late John Leslie Peeler and Strocy Millwood Peeler. Mr. Peeler was self-employed and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are two sons, Leslie Wayne Peeler and wife, Lisa, and Pittman Lee Peeler, all of Gaffney; a daughter, Wanda Gail Peeler of Gaffney; eight grandchildren, Leslie Renee Peeler, Samantha Lee-Ann Peeler, Jacob Wayne Peeler, Douglas Lee Peeler, Jessie Marie Peeler, Ashley Michelle Peeler, Kaylee Lynn Peeler and Ronald Wayne Harrill Jr.; and one greatgrandchild, Kaydence Peeler.

Mr. Peeler was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Millwood, and a sister, Betty Millwood.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 4 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery with the Rev. Mickey Mullinax officiating.
