Lula Gragg
Lula Mae Bridges Gragg, 82, of 410 Willow St., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of William D. Gragg and daughter of the late Dexter Bridges and Eva McGinnis Bridges. She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Northeast Fellowship Church of God.
She is survived by two sons, Ken Horne and wife, Carolyn, and Ricky Horne and wife, Barbara, all of Gaffney; a brother, Howard Bridges and wife, Ruby, of Sandy Mush, N.C.; three sisters, Myrtle Jenkins of Valley Falls, Robbie Durham of Shalimar, Fla., and Lillian Blanton and husband, David, of Sumter; four grandchildren, Bedara Cooper and husband, John, Tammy Horne, Tiffany Horne and Duran Horne and wife, Brande; two step-grandchildren, Justin Valeka and Erin Valeka; five great-grandchildren, Kaylee Millen, Brandon Horne, Casey Peeler, Kayla Horne and Kelsey Horne; two stepgreat grandchildren, Jonathan Cooper and Katie Cooper; and two great-great grandchildren, Caleb Peeler and Jaxon Peeler.
Mrs. Gragg was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Horne; a son, Gary Horne; and a sister, Ruth Capps.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m. at Northeast Fellowship Church of God with the Rev. James Garner officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
