The Sprouse Class of Buford Street United Methodist Church will hold its annual yard sale in the church parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 3. Proceeds from the event are used for local missions. Unsold items are donated to other agencies that assist those in need.

In addition, the Raymond Lark Class will sponsor a bake sale, which will also include other home canned and sewn items, inside the narthex of the church.

The event takes on a special significance this year in the light of tough economic times. Assistance from all help agencies is in greater demand than at any time in the recent past. The classes hope that this will be a banner year for donations and for purchases in order to assist as many local ministries as possible.
