Reunion
There will be a reunion of all faculty and staff of Elm Street/Mary Bramlett Elementary School on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Sagebrush Restaurant. This will be a dutch treat affair that will be from 6-11 p.m. Drop in at any time or come and stay the entire time.
Community events
Goucher Baptist Church, 415 Goucher Creek Road, will have a community-wide fun day on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Activities include singing, games, hay rides, moonwalk-type inflatables and slide. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. A country store, silent auction and an apple dessert bake-off contest will take place from 3-5 p.m. in fellowship hall. There is no charge and the public is invited. Bring a lawn chair.
The Limestone College cheerleading squad will help teach a free Gaffney Little League cheerleading clinic on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The clinic is open to all cheerleading squads Blacksburg, Gaffney, Cowpens and Chesnee. Gospel singing
El Bethel Baptist Church, 116 Billy Goat Bridge Road, will have a singing Sunday, Oct. 4, at 6 p.m. featuring the Riverside Boys of Lockhart.
Winners Either Way of Forest City, N.C., will be in concert Saturday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. at Chesnee Gospel Music Center on Green Lake Road, Chesnee. Hot dogs will be sold at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call 828-223-1514.

Family reunion
The third annual reunion of the Mullinax family will be held Friday, Oct. 9, and Saturday, Oct. 10. Those attending will meet at 8 a.m. Friday at the Sleep Inn, 834 Windslow Ave., and spend the day visiting historic Mullinax family sites and getting to know each other. Saturday, family members will meet at 8 a.m. in the conference room of the Hampton Inn, where several presentations will be made by family members and officers elected. The Pastor's Aide Ministry of Island Creek Baptist Church, 2112 Battleground Road, Cowpens, will celebrate its anniversary Sunday, Oct. 4, at 9:30 a.m. Dr. J.W. Sanders Sr., pastor, will speak.
Greater Hope Ministries, 1320 Old Georgia Hwy., will have a singing program Saturday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. Groups and choirs will be featured. On Sunday, Oct. 4, at 4 p.m. Bishop Keith Smith, pastor of Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Spartanburg, will be the guest speaker.
Christian Heights Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 4. Worship is at 11 a.m. and lunch will be served afterwards.
Bethany Baptist Church, 215 Wilkinsville Hwy., will have revival services Oct. 4-7. Sunday morning's service will be at 11 and each evening service, Sunday through Wednesday, will be at 6. Speaker will be Dr. Donnie Padgett, Director of Missions for the Broad River Baptist Association. The Bethany Choir will present special music Sunday morning. Monday evening, Scott McClellan, Minister of Music at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Cowpens, will be the guest singer. John Lankford from First Baptist Church Spartanburg will perform Tuesday evening.
