WAS THAT THUNDER? — Local residents welcomed members of the nonprofit group Rolling Thunder, who roared into town to take part in Operation Flagpole, a presentation honoring the memory of Lance Cpl. Chris Fowlkes. Originally planned by two members of the organization that focuses on the plight of prisoners of war (POWs), servicemen and women missing in action (MIAs) around the globe and veterans benefits, dozens from several locales associated with Rolling Thunder participated.
