Victor Lamar Jefferies, 55, of 122 Camellia Circle, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at 9:25 p.m. at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Son of Nancy Jefferies Montgomery of Gaffney and Daniel Sizemore of Georgia, he was born Aug. 7, 1954, in Cherokee County. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lyron "Hamie" Jefferies; his grandparents, Amanda Jefferies and Arvin Corry Sr.; and an aunt, Gloria Smith.

Mr. Jefferies was a graduate of Gaffney High School and attend- ed Spartanburg Technical College and Rutledge College. He was a former employee of Nestlé

Frozen Foods of Gaffney and

was a United

States veteran.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Thomas Montgomery Jr. of Gaffney; seven sisters, Evon Lelan, Wanda Camp, Thomasina Fernanders, Crystal Garner, Christian "Toot" Bobo, all of Gaffney, Dorcas Harris and Angela J. Andrews, both of Columbia; five uncles; three aunts; 22 nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives.

The family is at the home of his mother, Nancy Jefferies Montgomery, 122 Camellia Circle.
