Gregory Ernest Owens and Corie Alicia Newton Kenneth and Deanna Newton of Cowpens announce the engagement of their daughter, Corie Alicia Newton, to Gregory Ernest Owens of Gaffney.

Miss Newton graduated in 2003 from Gaffney High School and received an Associate Degree from Spartanburg Methodist College in 2005. She is employed by Piedmont Glass and Mirror Company in Gaffney.

Mr. Owens is the son of Rick and Tina Owens of Gaffney. A 2002 graduate of Gaffney High School, he is employed by Don Barnes of Don Barnes Construction in Gaffney.

The wedding is planned for October 24 at Guilkey Creek in Gaffney.
