Local Timken plant getting new boss; Propst going to N.C.

MCFADDEN MCFADDEN Mark Propst and Dan McFadden will assume new responsibilities for The Timken Company, beginning Nov. 1. Propst has been named plant manager of the Shiloh plant in Rutherfordton, N.C. McFadden will replace Propst as the plant manager of The Timken Company’s Gaffney Bearing Plant.

Propst has been with the Timken Company since 1981. Prior to coming to Gaffney, he held numerous positions in The Timken Company, including plant manager at the Lincolnton plant.

Propst received his bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

McFadden joined The Timken Company in 1994. He was most recently president at Advanced Green Components (AGC) in Winchester, Ky., a joint venture of The Timken Company. He has led numerous domestic and international manufacturing projects including Manager of Package Bearings in Lincolnton and plant manager in Olomouc, Czech Republic.

PROPST PROPST McFadden received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Ohio State University and a Masters degree in engineering from Case Institute of Technology.
