The Department of Social Services and the Salvation Army will take applications for Christmas assistance Oct. 12-16 from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. This is for children ages 12 and under only.

The following information must be provided for all household members: Social Security cards of everyone plus picture ID of person filling out application; proof of the amount of Food Stamps (this can be a printout copy from DSS or the letter received telling how much is being received); proof of all bills that are paid for the month and this includes all yearly bills; proof of income for the past four weeks of all household members. Applications will not be taken until all information is provided.
