Bennie Cecile Harmon Owens, 76, of 4483 Union Hwy., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009.

Born in Spartanburg, she was the wife of Ben T. Owens and daughter of the late Ben Harmon and Bessie Padgett Harmon. She was a homemaker and member of Restoration Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Danny Owens and wife, Debbie Lynn, of Gaffney; two daughters, Cindy Hale and husband, Cecil, and Debbie Elliott and husband, Tim, all of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Anita Allison and husband, Steve, Terry Hale and wife, Tara, Christopher Owens and wife, Shannon, and Steven Elliott; four great-grandchildren, Noah Morris, Mikey Pennington, Saskia Hale and Jonathan Owens; special aunts, Flora McCarley and Mary Thomas, both of Gaffney; and special friends, Geraldine Baker and Judy Blackwell, both of Gaffney.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by a son, Mike Owens.

Visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 11, from 2- 3 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services immediately followed at 3 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joey Turner officiating. Interment was in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
