BOILING SPRINGS – Joan Shook Gordon, 62, of 651 Secretariat Drive, passed away Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, after a brief illness. Mrs. Gordon was the wife of Richard Gordon and daughter of the late Luther Franklin and Mildred Landers Shook. She was a dental assistant at Lake Bowen Dental and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by a daughter, Tracy Amanda Clawson and husband, Tommy; a brother, Mitchell Shook and wife, Jo Alyce; a sister Brenda Shook Tisdale and husband, Norris; and grandchildren, Joel and Blake Clawson.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by a brother, Joel Franklin Shook.

Visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 11, from 2- 3 p.m. at Eggers Funeral Home, Boiling Springs. Services immediately followed at 3 p.m. in Eggers Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev.

Randall Blackman.
