THE VILLAGE SMITHY
Blacksmithing was among the skills modeled in an 18th Century encampment Saturday and Sunday as part of activities marking the 229th anniversary of the Battle of Kings Mountain at Kings Mountain National Military Park. The Backcountry Militia re-enactment group performed camp activities such as bullet and button molding, cooking, and basket weaving. (Ledger photo / SCOTT POWELL)
