Gaylan Pennington made the sixth hole-inone of his career last week. This is how he described it: “I was playing last week at Spartanburg Country Club for the first time and luck was with me. After finding my way to the 14th tee box — you have to cross the road to get there — I stumbled on the tee box with a 9 iron and with one swing of the club I recorded my 6th hole-in-one — 125 yards out with a Callaway X-12 9-iron. Playing partners were Dean Dill, Carlton Farr, and Bitten Bortone.
