Robert J. Reynolds, 72, of 672 Grandview Drive NE, Concord, N.C., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Born in Gaffney, on April 18, 1937, he was

preceded in

death by his

mother, Era (Price) Reynolds, and father, Robert R. Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was a U.S. Air Force veteran and member of First Presbyterian Church in Concord. Prior to retiring, he was a contractor for Duke Energy. He had also owned and operated General Wood Products Inc. in Richburg, S.C.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, from 1-2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Fellowship House in Concord. Services will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel Fellowship House with the Rev. Dr. Todd Hobbie officiating. Burial will follow at Historic Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife, Nancy (Davis) Reynolds of Concord; a daughter, Tammy (Reynolds) Helms and husband, Jeff, of Concord; a brother, Gerald Charles Reynolds of Gaffney; and a granddaughter, Karley Elizabeth Helms.
