And that focus paid big dividends on Friday against Nation Ford when Logan picked off two passes.

“I worked all week on going for the ball instead of just covering the receiver,” Logan said.

Logan’s first interception came on a fly pattern.

“(The receiver) just tried to get me to bite on the throw but I just ran underneath it and caught it,” he said.

His second interception showed his athleticism and competitive spirit when he outfought a Nation Ford receiver for a pass.

Logan’s performance caught the eye of Gaffney coach Phil Strickland.

“He’s done a good job,” he said.

Logan said he started off the season slowly with a disappointing performance against Dorman. But Logan said his play has improved.

“Every game I just try to do better and better,” he said.

Prior the season, the secondary was a concern because of the lack of returning players. But Logan said the secondary has made strides this season.

“We were considered the weak link when the season started, but everybody has stepped up,” he said. “
