Bush, 25, was selected the South Carolina winner in the women’s fashion magazine’s 2009 Bachelor Blowout. The Chapman High teacher and football coach can be seen with the most eligible bachelors in a feature in the pages of the November issue.

Bush attended a photo shoot in June shortly after completing his duties as a student teacher and wrestling coach at Gaffney High. The Limestone College graduate spent a couple of days in mid- October attending a release party held by the magazine in New York City.

“It was a fun and crazy experience,” Bush said. “I made Entertainment Tonight’s most eligible bachelors in America. I also went on the Today Show and did an interview on Fox and Friends.”

Bush never imagined he would be selected one of the country’s most eligible bachelors when a girlfriend from his apartment sent his picture into Cosmopolitan magazine last spring. He was helping with the “Prom Bash” event at Gaffney High in May when the magazine called with the results of their bachelor event.

“It was definitely a neat experience. I got to meet people from all over the country,” Bush said. “I’ve had a lot of exposure. My profile is on the magazine Web site. I have gotten so many e-mails I haven’t had time to read them all.”

The teacher gave a quick “No” when asked if there was a woman in his life. His time has been limited this fall with a full class schedule and football practice in the afternoon.

“I don’t have a lot of free time with teaching and coaching football,” Bush said. “I will have a couple of weeks off and then it will be time to coach the wrestling team.”

While he enjoyed his experience, Bush isn’t quite ready to quit his day job to become a model.

“I’ve had a lot of fun,” Bush said. “It’s been nice to get back to normal, though.”
