WHO SAID HALLOWEEN IS JUST FOR KIDS?

There was no need to go door to door to seek a tasty treat, but dressing appropriately for last week's Witch Convention was a must. An annual event hosted by Gaffney resident Lynda Ramage, dozens of local women filed into her Petty Street home clad in black and the pointiest hat they could find in an effort to give the unofficial holiday a little flavor for those still young at heart.

“We've been doing this for years and the ladies seem to love it,” Ramage said.

Among those at the event were Dawn Bridges and Susan Boynton, who took time to get acquainted with a witch welcoming everyone into Ramage's home, which was transformed into a virtual haunted house for the occasion.
