Christopher Gary Barrett and Lea Anne Batchler Keith Batchler and Lea Batchler, both of Gaffney, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lea Anne, to Christopher Gary Barrett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Graham of Islip Terrace, N.Y., and the late Gary Barrett.

The brideelect is a 1999 graduate of Blacksburg High School and a 2003 graduate of Limestone College with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree. Miss Batchler is currently enrolled in the graduate program at the University of South Carolina, pursuing a Masters of Library and Information Science. She is employed by the Cherokee County Public Library as the Branch Manager of the Blacksburg Library.

Mr. Barrett is a 2000 graduate of East Islip High School in Islip Terrace, N.Y., and a 2004 graduate of Limestone College, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and was a member of the 2002 Men’s Lacrosse National Championship team. He is employed by Limestone College as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator of the men’s lacrosse team.

The couple will be married Saturday, Oct. 24, at Firefly Cove in Lake Lure, N.C.
