About $14,500 in electronics were reported stolen following the discovery of vehicle break-ins at a local business.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone forced entry to two motor homes owned by Hollywood Productions on Hollywood Drive between 1:30 a.m. Oct. 18 and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 19.
Police did not describe the type of equipment stolen.
More than $3,000 in electronics were reported stolen following a vehicle break-in at a Shelby Highway parking lot.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone broke out a window to gain access to a truck parked in the 700 block between 6 p.m. Oct. 17 and 11:30 a.m. Oct. 18.
The thief or thieves took two Dell laptop computers, a XM satellite radio unit, a TomTom-brand satellite navigation unit, a Sony CD player, a General Electric digital camera and Bible CDs.

Someone took about $100 in Halloween decorations from a property in the 100 block of Jordan Lane in Blacksburg on Oct. 18, according to a police report.
The thief or thieves took two caged skeletons, four plastic head ghosts, six ghosts on sticks and a pumpkin decoration.
A Gateway Drive home was targeted for burglary Oct. 17.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone forced entry to the home in the 100 block between 9:35 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. and took a Playstation 3 video game system valued at $600.
The Gaffney Police Department reported two incidents in recent days of break-ins to unoccupied homes.
According to one police report, a vacant residence in the 100 block of Pacolet Highway was entered between Oct. 14 and Oct. 16.
The burglar(s) took 100 feet of copper wiring valued at $1,500 and caused about $1,700 in damage.
Another nearby home in the same block was found open Oct. 17 during a property check and police determined someone had busted a door to gain entry.
Police said copper wiring was cut in that home as well.
The Gaffney Police Department is investigating the theft of guns and electronics from a Lipscomb Street home that was burglarized between Oct. 16 and Oct. 18.
According to a police report, the residents of the home in the 100 block found their front door open Oct. 18 following a weekend away from their residence.
Missing from the home was $1,600 in cash, two Playstation 3 video game consoles, a Dell Studio One computer, a Smith & Wesson .40-caliber handgun and a Para Ordinance handgun.
