Jimmy Sisk
Jimmy Ray Sisk, 53, of 204 13th St., passed away on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, he was the son of Benay Sisk Horn and the late Maxie Dean Stroupe. He was formerly employed as a taxi cab driver and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sisters, Jackie Spencer and husband, Doug, of Gaffney, Rebecca Blanton of Blacksburg and Elizabeth Lanning of Gaffney; five brothers, Bobby Stroupe, Dennis Stroupe and wife, Melinda, Steve Stroupe, Ronnie Stroupe and wife, Beverly, and Darrell Stroupe and wife, Kim, all of Gaffney; a grandmother, Pauline (Polly) Weekley of Fort Mill; and a very faithful companion, Johnny Smith.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Melissa Stroupe, and his grandparents, Lula Spencer Dixon of Gaffney, Hughie Sisk of Fort Mill, and Elzie and Minnie Stroupe of Gaffney.
Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby L. Blakely officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 6- 8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.
The family will be at the home of Dennis Stroupe, 527 Sarratt School Road.
