Betty Jean Haynes McIntyre, 77, of 480 Lockhart Lane, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of the late Jack L. McIntyre and daughter of the late Walter Haynes and Essie Patterson Haynes.

She was a retired from the textiles industry, a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Providence Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Bobby McIntyre of Gaffney; two daughters, Jackie Byers and husband Freddie, and Debbie McAbee and husband Jimmy, all of Gaffney; one sister, Patsy Owensby of Gaffney; eight grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; one greatgreat grandchild; and special caregiver Bobby McIntyre Jr.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, David Shannon McIntyre and three sisters, Nettie Bright, Ann Wyatt and Linda Thomas.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2009, in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Peterson officiating.

Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
