Saints hire Pitt

Limestone College Head Wrestling Coach Trent Goodale has announced that Zach Sheaffer has joined the Saints staff as an assistant coach. Sheaffer comes to Limestone after an outstanding four-year career at the University of Pittsburgh.
“I am very pleased to be able to add someone of Zach’s caliber to our coaching staff,” Goodale commented. “He is going to make an impact right away with our athletes. He is a very driven person and is very much looking forward to working with our guys.”
Sheaffer was a 2009 All-American for the Panthers, and also served as team captain for the 2008-09 season. He was named to the Academic Dean’s List and was an Academic All- American. He won the Eastern Wrestling league Championship in 2005 and 2008 and recorded over 100 wins during his career.
Sheaffer assisted with the Pittsburgh Wrestling Club and the Panther Paws program that taught wrestling to inner-city youth. He also worked at Edinboro University wrestling camp.
He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in April 2009 with a degree in United States history.
“I am excited for this opportunity and am really looking forward to the season ahead,” commented Sheaffer.

Erskine
The Limestone College volleyball team improved its Conference Carolinas record to 8-5 with a 3-1 victory over Erskine College on Tuesday night.
The Lady Saints’ overall record stands at 12-13 while Erskine falls to 7-6 in the conference (9-13 overall).
The scores of the match were 25-15, 25-22, 22-25, and 25-10.
Melissa Thomas recorded 20 kills and 6 blocks for the Lady Saints. Jennifer O’Keeffe had nine kills and six blocks.
