A 1972 graduate of Gaffney High School, he is the husband of the former Peggy Thompson, and son of the late Perry and Atharline Davidson.

Davidson was licensed to preach on Sept. 17, 2000, and ordained in the Baptist Ministry on Sept. 26, 2004, under the leadership of Ebenezer’s former pastor, Dr. Eula M. Miller, Jr.

He served as assistant pastor of the church until elected pastor of Ebenezer Baptist June 30, 2006. He was officially installed to the post on Oct. 8 of that year.
