Lillie Mae Willard

Lillie Mae Willard, 90, of 212 Magnolia St., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at her residence.

Born in Cherokee County, she was the widow of the late Willis Willard and daughter of the late John T. Robinson and Jessie Roark Robinson.

Willard was retired from textiles, worked at the Senior Centers of Cherokee County and was a member of West End Baptist Church.

Surviving is a daughter, Imogene Cudd of Gaffney; four stepchildren, Shelley McCullough, Jessie Harvey, Carolyn Peeler and Bill Willard, all of Gaffney; two sisters, Peggy Corbin of Irmo and Beatrice Tate of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Michael Black and Jessica Patterson; two great-grandchildren; and a special niece, raised in the home, Ginger Patterson of Gaffney.

Willard was preceded in death by six sisters.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at Blakely Funeral Home.

Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the residence.
