Ninth-grade blanks Fort Mill
O'Bryant Davidson scored three touchdowns, including a punt return, to lead the Gaffney ninth-grade team to a 34-0 win over Fort Mill on Thursday.
Tommaine Logan and Bryce Spurlin each had a touchdown grab from quarterback Shaquille Davidson.
Gaffney is now 5-3.
Gaffney jayvees hammer Fort Mill
C.J. Miller rushed for three touchdowns and Matt Varner blocked four punts, including a quick-kick, to lead the Gaffney junior varsity to a 41-13 win over Fort Mill.
Zach Hubbard and Joey Copeland also had rushing touchdowns, while Chris Dawkins had a touchdown reception.
Gaffney runners place fifth
The Gaffney High cross country teams finished fifth at the Region III 4A Championships. In the men's competition, Gaffney's Austin Steagall qualified for the All-Region team with a fourth place finish.
Dorman High School will host the 4A Upper State qualifier on Saturday.
The top seven teams and the top 20 individuals at this meet will qualify to run in the 4A State Championship meet at the Sandhills Research Center in Columbia on Nov. 7.
