Bethel Senior Day Care has Bird Appreciation Day

Clients take part in friendly bird house-making competition
As part of studying and learning about birds and Mother Nature, clients at Bethel Senior Day Care Center Inc. recently completed building and painting bird houses. “Nature is a gift from God and birds are so beautiful to observe and hear sing,” said Bethel client J.L. Jefferies. Patty Andrews, (former Bethel Day Care registered nurse), engaged clients in talking about bird appreciation and effective methods of keeping the environment healthy. Each client constructed and painted a bird house with the winners receiving a Walmart gift card. All clients took their bird houses home for bird watching. Winners were J.L. Jefferies, first place; J.C. Oglesby, second place; Quincy Dawkins, third place; and Alma Dover, fourth place.
