UPCC will meet Oct. 30
Upstate Piedmont Chamber of Commerce will meet Friday, Oct. 30, at 10 a.m. in Room 209 of Spartanburg Community College– Cherokee Campus. The meeting is open to UPCC members, their guests and any business owners interested in the program or more information on the mission of UPCC. There is no charge and refreshments will be served; call 864-490-2900 if you plan to attend.
Lois Johnson from the Small Business Administration office in Columbia will present a program on benefits and tax credits available to small business under The American Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
There will also be a local banker in attendance specializing in SBA loans. There are many benefits available to small businesses in the form of tax credits and monies, for new equipment, to ride out the recession, etc. Some must be applied for by Dec. 31, 2009, and other benefits carry over into 2011.
