SPARTANBURG – Claude O’Neil Fortner, 62, of 108 Pettit Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at his home.

Born in Cowpens, he was a son of Ruby Pasco Fortner and the late B. Claude Fortner.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Ashley Fortner; a brother, Joseph Fortner; two sisters, Debbie Fortner Fowler and Mary Fortner Fowler; and three grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie Fortner, and a sister, Kay Fortner Fowler.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
