 The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate armed robberies that occurred in recent days.

On Oct. 27 at about 11:50 p.m., police said a man armed with a handgun entered a convenience store in the 1000 block of Cherokee Avenue and robbed the store of about $800 from the cash register.

On Oct. 23, police said a 19-year-old Stephenson Street man was walking down the roadway when an unknown subject wearing a ski mask and armed with a handgun approached and punched him in the face.

The victim was knocked out and his wallet was taken.

The wallet and contents were valued at $20.

 A burglar apparently targeted a South Logan Street convenience store Oct. 26.

According to the Gaffney Police Department, someone tried to gain entry to the Corner Stop Number 6 by breaking the glass door.

Nothing was reported stolen.

Damage was estimated at $500.

 The Gaffney Police Department reported an attempted carjacking on East Buford Street.

According to a police report, a woman was driving home from shopping Oct. 24 at about 11:30 p.m. when a car stopped in front of her and blocked the roadway. The woman told police that three men wearing baggy pants and black hooded sweatshirts got out of the vehicle and began approaching her car.

The woman told police she drove over the grassy median to get away and called police as soon as she got home.

The suspects were in a black-colored fourdoor vehicle, possibly foreign-made.

 A car sustained an estimated $2,000 in damage when a dog chased a cat onto the vehicle.

According to the Gaffney Police Department, the incident occurred Oct. 24 in the 100 block of Cameron Lane.

There was short, white dog hair all over the vehicle, which sustained damage to the left and right fenders, driver’s side door and hood.

 The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office reported the following break-ins in recent days:

On Oct. 28, a resident of the 700 block of Burnt Gin Road returned home and found someone had entered the residence and stolen a 32-inch Panasonic flat screen television and a Sony Vaio laptop computer with a combined value of $1,200.

On Oct. 28 between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m., someone forced entry to a home in the 100 block of Allison Creek Road and took a pair of Timberland shoes valued at $100.

Between 10 p.m. Oct. 27 and 7 a.m. Oct. 28, someone forced entry to a home in the 300 block of Quarry Road in Blacksburg and took a stove and dishwasher valued at a combined $600.

On Oct. 26 between 5:40 a.m. and 5 p.m., someone forced entry to a home in the 100 block of Lamplighter Cove. The thief or thieves took a television valued at $547.

On Oct. 26 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., someone forced entry to a home in the 100 block of General Drive. The thief or thieves took a 33-inch Vizio flat screen television valued at $500.

On Oct. 25 between noon an 9 p.m., someone took a heating-and- cooling unit valued at $3,500 from the exterior of a home in the 100 block of Mountain View Road and also entered the interior.

 About $300 in power equipment was reported stolen from a truck parked outside the Lowe’s Home Improvement store Oct. 23.

According to Gaffney Police, security cameras captured an unknown man driving a small white truck take an air compressor and hose from another truck parked in the lot.

The incident occurred between 4:30 p.m. and 5:10 p.m.

 The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office reported the thefts of several automotive parts in recent days.

Between Oct. 24 and Oct. 25, police said someone cut the catalytic converter from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Quarter Round Road.

Damage was estimated at $350.

Between Oct. 7 and Oct. 28, police said someone cut the catalytic converter from a vehicle parked in the 1600 block of Asbury Road in Pacolet.

Damage was estimated at $400.

 A bicycle was reported stolen from a Wood Street property Oct. 24.

According to the Gaffney Police Department, someone took a Schwinn-made Rolling Rock bicycle from the front porch of a home in the 200 block between midnight and 1:15 a.m.

The bike is valued at $300.
