Williams, a South Carolina native, is established as one of the hottest songwriters in the business. He burst onto the music scene in 1957 by composing Little Darlin’ that was an immediate hit and zoomed to the top of the charts. Other successful tunes followed – Stay, a number one in 1960, I Remember, and the classic May I. Over the years, Williams’ songs have been recorded by top names in the entertainment business, bringing fame and honor to the composer.
