Seminar of medicines set for Nov. 5

The Gaffney Senior Center will offer Gaffney and Blacksburg seniors a seminar on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 10:30 a.m. that is designed to save them money on prescriptions and over thecounter drugs, encourage medication compliance and avoid drug interactions. The “Pack Your Bag” program is sponsored by CVS/pharmacy and the National Council on Aging.

Seniors will pack a bag with prescription medications for a comprehensive review in free one-on-one consultations with a local CVS pharmacist. The program also includes a presentation by the pharmacist on improving health through medication compliance.

The consultations will give seniors the opportunity to ask questions about their prescription and non-prescription medications, receive tips and tools for medication compliance and learn ways to save money on medication.

The program will be at the Gaffney Senior Center, 499 W. Rutledge Ave. For more information, contact Leslie Pearson or Joan Hall, 864-487-2727.
