Mary McCraw Duncan, 64, of 315 Brookwood Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Marvin Duncan and daughter of the late Forrest McCraw and Jeanette Lester McCraw. She was employed by Upstate Carolina Medical Center, a graduate of Gaffney High School and a member of Kirby Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Mark Duncan and wife, Susanne, of Gaffney; a daughter, Melissa Stanton and husband, David, of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Wayne McCraw and wife, Judy, of Gaffney and Jerry McCraw and wife, Birgit, of Savannah, Ga.; and seven grandchildren, Tyler Duncan, Marissa Duncan, Courtney Blakley, Reed Stanton, Ridge Stanton, River Stanton and Ripken Stanton.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter McCraw and Eddie McCraw.

Services were held Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m. at Kirby Memorial Baptist Church with the Revs. Rich Lancaster and Jason Patterson officiating. Interment was in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kirby Memorial Baptist Church, 512 Chandler Drive, Gaffney, SC 29340; or to the American Cancer Society (Relay for Life) Cherokee County Unit, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.

The family will be at the home of Mark and Susanne Duncan, 131 Green Park Drive.
